Is Water Mill wheelchair friendly?
Unfortunately, to navigate around the property you will mainly need to walk up and down staircases. As such, we would not consider The Water Mill wheelchair friendly, we would also suggest to our guests that our property is not suitable for those with mobility issues due to some steep and narrow stairs in the mill - please see our accessibility statement page.
Is the hot tub included in the price of the property?
No, we can provide a 7-seater luxury hot tub for the property. It includes mood lighting and an ice compartment/ drinks holder attached to the side – perfect for ultimate relaxation.
Hot tub hire pricing for the weekend is £195.00 and for the week, £225.00. This can be organised upon booking or closer to your stay! Contact us today for further detail.
Are food deliveries able to reach the mill?
Yes - we have previously had deliveries from Ocado, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, and Tesco.
Do you accept bridal celebrations?
Yes! We do accept relaxed bridal celebrations and parties, so long as the property is left undamaged and clean upon departure, and there are no noise disturbances that affect our neighbours.
Sophie, our property manager, is on hand to assist with the organisation of any final touches including, balloons and decor, afternoon tea and private chefs, bar services and cocktail making, cake, arts and crafts, and yoga to name a few.
Are there any pub walks near to The Water Mill?
Yes, we have three local pubs, all of which have walks to and from the property:
- Sycamore Inn, Parwich
- The Olde Gate Inne, Brassington
- The Old Dog, Thorpe
We also recommend another pub a short drive from the mill called the Knockerdown Inn. For further information, please request our Pub Walk document, alternatively all the information you will need including a step-by-step guide to the pub and back (map included) will be provided at the property.
Are there any flat walks you would recommend?
Yes, we would recommend Tissington Trail, Carsington Resevoir, Dovedale, Bradford Dale, Mill Dale, and Lathkill Dale. Although there may be slopes at times, it would not involve anything too strenuous.
Do you provide a cot and highchair?
Yes, we provide one travel cot and one highchair at the property. Please note children are to be supervised around the property at all times due to steep staircases and exposed historical features.
