Our team at The Water Mill always try to meet the needs of our guests for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The Mill is a converted, grade II listed Mill with:

• Low and exposed beams
• Many Staircases
• Flexible Layouts - Either Twin Or King
• Hazard-free Routes Around The Cottage

Unfortunately, we do not consider The Water Mill wheelchair friendly or suitable for those with limited mobility.

We have created a detailed accessibility statement for all our future guests - should you have any questions, please do drop us a message!

We understand that a change of environment can be challenging and consequentially trigger anxiety. If you have any requests for your stay, please do not hesitate to contact Sophie. We can offer:

We do have members of our team who are Dementia Friends - they can be available throughout your stay should you require any assistance at all. We can also provide:

• A Bluetooth Speaker So You May Play Familiar Music 
• Ensuring all closed doors and cupboard doors have photos of what is inside/ on the other side to avoid any stress

Should there be any other items you'd like for us to consider, please do contact us and we will do our best to assist!

For those in your group who are hard of hearing:

• our televisions do provide subtitles.
• Upon request we can also provide our portable induction hearing loop. It enables people with a hearing aid (T setting). This would help guests to more clearly hear the TV and conversations around a table without background noises interfering.

For those in your group who are partially sighted, we do ensure: 

• We provide tours of the Mill prior to your booking; while we provide good lighting, rails on each staircase, offer large print documents and can accommodate any requests re: movement of furniture pieces, the Mill is certainly quirky with steep staircases and historical mill workings which may not be ideal - we do leave the final decision to our guests of course.
